Fantasy Baseball Today: Lewin Diaz a sneaky waiver add; deep-league hitters; why to target Rockies, Rangers

Happy Wednesday! With only two and a half weeks left until the end of the Fantasy Baseball season, the only thing that matters is the matches. Sure, you are about to start your spikes, but you surely still have important decisions to make. That’s why it’s time to get rid of Yu Darwish, Zach Gallen and Kyle Gibson. Scott White is afraid that Darwish will fall into the hands of his opponents, but I’m not afraid. Of course, if you have someone worse to quit right now, do it instead. The reality is that after this week, Darwish’s last two starts will be against the Braves and the Dodgers. There is no way I can start it there, given my season at stake.

On the other hand, add and start your Rockies in the last two weeks. Three of their last three episodes take place at Coors Field. Brendan Rogers and Elias Diaz stand out as the top two names, but Garrett Hampson makes sense in the category leagues as well. Now I know that Scott is not on the Rangers because, well, they are bad. However, they will have seven away games next week at Yankee Stadium and Camden Yards, two of the most hit-friendly pitches in the entire league. I know they are not exciting, but Nathaniel Lowe and Nick Solak stand out on par with Leodi Taveras and DJ Peters in the deeper leagues.

Of course, as always, you can follow the news to make sure you get the freshest Fantasy Baseball Today issues right when they come out. Apple and Spotify

Diaz Succeeds Again

Marlins 1B Levin Diaz is starting to look a lot like that sneaky wired pickup truck that could be of great help in the sprawling 2021 season. He made an impression again on Tuesday night. Diaz made a double dong that included homers over 410 and 421 feet. He has now hit several strikes in three of his last five games. He still has only 3% of the total squad, which will play six games next week, including Nationals and Rays. Diaz should be added to the deeper leagues, and it might be nice to play a hot hand.

Forwards from a deeper league should be considered

Astros OF Jose Siri went 4 out of 5 with a double dong on Tuesday. He was the source of consistent power / speed in the Minors with a .318 average, 16 homers and 24 interceptions at Triple-A. He is only 2% in the registry.

Members of the royal family Kyle Isbel went 3 out of 4 with his first career homer on Tuesday. This is what his minors looked like in 2021: 0.269 average, 15 homers, 22 interceptions. His growth is only 3%, and next week he will play six away games at the CLE, DET.
